Revision Skincare

I was sent the above products from En Vogue Skin Clinic which is the only distributor for Revision Skincare throughout Australia and New Zealand. I was asked to choose two products from the range that interested me the most and they also sent a deluxe sample pack and booklet filled with information. In exchange I promised a blog post and Instagram post with my thoughts.

The following paragraph is taken from the Revision Skincare website and is how they describe their range.

We concentrate on what is truly important: the substance and quality of our products.

Every day, our scientists pour their hearts as well as their scientific expertise into making Revision Skincare® products. They are driven by a profound passion to develop product formulations that deliver real skincare benefits.

Revision Skincare scientists follow the highest standards of ingredient selection with innovative processes that retain the ingredients’ purity and strength. Our proprietary formulations ensure maximum stability and optimum results.

All of our products are formulated with scrupulous attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to providing the very best.

So clearly they are coming across as a science based brand , no frills only efficacious ingredients and formulations . Now those who know me well realise that I’m all about what it actually does for my skin and are aware that I’m a 50/50 type. 50% green beauty and 50% traditional skincare. I also put a lot of focus on making my skincare routines more of a self care experience, so I must admit I was somewhat concerned as to how I’d like these products.

I have been using the full size products regularly for just over 2 months please also note that I am 41 years old with a normal/dry skin . I have fine lines around the eyes with a slightly hooded eye due to ageing. And have no botox or fillers at this stage.

Without further ado , lets get on with the review.

D.E.J  Eye Cream $129.99 aud for 14ml

What Its Meant To Do –  Be extremely moisturising and improve fine lines and photo damage and also improve upper lid appearance and firm the eye area.

What It Did For Me – I did find that it provided a good level of moisture throughout the day and does feel firming immediately after application . As you can also place this on the upper eyelid the feeling of firming was felt there also.

Recommended Use  This can be used morning and night , One pump for both eyes.

How I Use  I only used in the mornings and used one pump which I found sufficient for both eyes. I like to tap in eye creams to help combat morning puffy eye syndrome. So I tapped in from the inner eye all the way around and up to the brow bone.

Smell  Like nothing so great if you’re sensitive to fragrance.

Texture   A light cream. Definitely not runny nor to thick to absorb.

Thoughts While this is definitely in the luxury category so far it has lasted me 2 months with daily use . I can’t speak to the claims about photo damage however I can say that I found it very moisturising and dry under eyes is one of my biggest issues . Within a month I noticed my concealer was laying better and not settling into fine lines. My lines have not increased nor been eradicated. The level of moisture helped them plump out a little. As for firmness,  under the eye its not really an issue for me, it has helped a little with my upper lid though.  The inclusion of some Copper and Vitamin C did excite me a little. All in all I’m pleased with the results

Purchase – This is definitely on the list.

Hydrating Serum $104.99 aud for 30ml

What Its Meant To Do –  To keep the skin feeling hydrated and assist with fine lines and wrinkles.

What It Did For Me –  My skin felt instantly hydrated.

Recommended Use  Apply two pumps to freshly cleansed skin, avoiding eye area . Can use a moisturiser over top if needed.

How I Use   I used this the same way I use all hydration serums. Cleanse , Mist or Acid Tone, This, Treatment, Eye Cream, Moisturiser then Oil.

Smell   Again virtually non existent.

Texture   A typical mid weight serum not watery at all. Absorbs easily.

Thoughts On the plus side no matter what I put over it there was no issue with pilling. It doesn’t feel sticky at all. On application it feels hydrating. For me personally as a more dry skin type I didn’t feel like it added a great deal to my overall hydration levels . I tried my routines with and without and there was no discernible difference. I do believe this product would be more suited towards a more normal , combination or oilier skin. If you love Drunk Elephant’s B Hydra then this is probably something you’ll really enjoy.

Purchase – For the reasons stated above I will not be purchasing.

Will give brief thoughts Left to Right.

Gentle Cleansing Lotion – Gentle is the right word , skin felt soft and calm after use.

Papaya Enzyme Cleanser – This felt so good on my skin , not drying at all.

Black Mask – Incredibly brightening and clarifying mask

Vitamin C Lotion 15% – The C in this is THD Ascorbate. No tingling layers well.

D.E.J Eye Cream – Full review above

Intellishade Matte – Broad Spectrum Spf 45 – This is a tinted moisturiser only one shade  which looked to light but ending up changing and worked well on my olive skin and was not to matte , deeper skin tones will definitely need to sample first , makeup layered well over top.

Revox 7 – This contains 7 different peptides and is aimed at expression lines. Not enough to have an opinion. It layered well and felt like a slightly viscous serum.

D.E.J Face Cream – Felt very moisturising on the skin.

So thats my experience with Revision Skincare so far , as you can tell the eye cream was the standout for me. I also really enjoyed the Papaya Enzyme Cleanser , Intellishade Matte Spf and would like to spend more time with the Revox 7 as my expression lines are only becoming more expressive !!!!!

I am extremely grateful I was given the opportunity to try these products, All opinions are my own and shared with you in good faith. If you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

Thank you so much for reading I do hope you enjoyed and subscribed .

Til next time.

Genaya xx
