Ausceuticals

Hi everyone ,

I haven’t posted in quite a while but thought I’d best get back to it as I have quite a lot that needs reviewing. Im starting off with the Ausceuticals serums that I started using in August. I purchased them with my own money after seeing them in the Instagram feeds of @ms_hannah_e and @skinmusings .

As for Ausceuticals its a Australian business based in Perth founded by a husband and wife team one a aesthetic physician and the other a natural skincare formulator whose focus is on creating active no nonsense formulations that are cleverly balanced with soothing ingredients to minimise possible irritations . For those of you who know me or follow me on Instagram you will know my preference is to embrace both green and traditional skincare so Ausceuticals definitely appeals to me as they are focussed on harvesting the best of both worlds whilst remaining essential oil free.

They actually have quite the list of ingredients they won’t use whilst also being a cruelty free brand they also have many vegan friendly products.  If that appeals to you,  and if not it can’t hurt to accidentally support it. I also like the easy no nonsense pump packaging and found it easy to dispense the correct amount.

I’ve only used the serums so far but really enjoyed the sample of their honey cleansing butter which does contain essential oils, It smelt and felt delicious and no doubt will be added to my collection at some point.

All of the serums were well priced and they ship within Australia as well as New Zealand and America.

So without further ado……..

PRODUCT – Rehydrate Serum

PRICE – 30ml for $45 aud

SKIN TYPE – Any

RECOMMENDED USE – 1-2 pumps onto clean skin.

A.M OR P.M- Either

HOW IT SMELLS – I actually think this smells slightly refreshing yet still very faint.

HOW IT FEELS – Slightly tacky yet layers well.

HOW MUCH DO I USE – 2 pumps covers everything.

HOW OFTEN DO I USE – Every single night.

HOW DO I USE – I massage onto a clean face, neck and chest.

MY THOUGHTS – This is a lovely mix of skin loving and barrier repairing goodies and layers beautifully with everything else. A good hydrating serum that does what it says at a good price .

FACTS –  This has lasted 3 months and has roughly another 2 weeks of product left.

Cruelty Free

Free of Silicones/SLS/Parabens

Fragrance and Essential Oil free.

This is a Vegan friendly formula.

REPURCHASE – This is lovely and I think for normal to oilier skins this would be fantastic . For me it didn’t provide the level of hydration I look for and in that way is very similar to the Drunk Elephant B Hydra. So a great product just not suited  to my personal preferences .

PRODUCT – Vitamin C Serum

PRICE – 30ml for $45 aud

SKIN TYPE – Any although sensitive skins be careful.

RECOMMENDED USE – 1-2 pumps 3 times a week applied on clean slightly damp skin.

A.M OR P.M- Either.

HOW IT SMELLS- There is a faint scent but its not offensive or overwhelming.

HOW IT FEELS – Slightly tacky , However I’ve not had any issues layering products of any type over it.

HOW MUCH DO I USE – 1 pump is sufficient for face and neck , I do like to add another pump for chest .

HOW OFTEN DO I USE – I use up to 5 times per week generally in the morning, although sometimes I use at night . I’m still messing about with where I want to place it.

HOW DO I USE – In the morning I mix 2 pumps with 2 pumps of hydrating serum and massage into mist dampened skin over my face, neck and chest . Then move onto the rest of my routine.

MY THOUGHTS – I find this has been a welcome addition to my routines and a vital part of my quest towards bright and glowing skin. Whilst it has not faded my pigmentation significantly lets not forget that it took me not wearing spf daily for 20 years to build up the amount of damage that has been making its way to the surface the last 7. My main reason for purchasing a Vitamin C serum is for antioxidant protection and assistance in brightening. This has ticked those boxes whilst remaining remarkably well priced.

FACTS – I started using this on August 16th and it has not oxidised.

After regular use it has thus far lasted 3 months I should be able to get another 2 weeks out of it.

It has a lot of other antioxidant ingredients and some lovely soothing ingredients of which Calendula is my personal favourite. Its a pretty impressive list all round to be honest.

Cruelty Free

Free of Silicones/SLS/Parabens

Fragrance and Essential Oil free.

This is a Vegan friendly formula.

REPURCHASE – Yes I definitely would, I have another Vit C to test first but unless that is life changing I’ll definitely be back for this.

INGREDIENTS – Aqua (Purified Water), L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), DL Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Backhousia Citriodora (Lemon Myrtle) Flower Water, Glycerin*, Glutathione, Ferulic Acid, Alpha-D-Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Phloretin, 1,3-Propanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract*, Chamomille Recutita (matricaria) Flower extract*, Thioctic Acid (Alpha-Lipoic Acid), Alpha Bisobolol, Lysolecithin (and) Sclerotium gum (and) Xanthan gum (and) Pullulan**, Glyceryl Undecylenate (and) Glyceryl Caprylate**,  Potassium Sorbate**, Sodium  Phytate**.

PRODUCT –  Vitamin B Serum

PRICE – 30 ml for $45 aud

SKIN TYPE – Any , again sensitive skins need to take care and patch test.

RECOMMENDED USE – 1-2 pumps on clean skin.

A.M OR P.M – Either.

HOW IT SMELLS – Again not really any smell.

HOW IT FEELS – A slightly more runny serum again I feel a slight tackiness but as with the previous serum layers beautifully .

HOW MUCH DO I USE – 2 pumps .

HOW OFTEN DO I USE – Around 5 times a week.

HOW DO I USE – 2 pumps with 2 pumps of a hydrating serum all face, neck and chest then continue with the rest of my routine.

MY THOUGHTS – So I never thought of Niacinamide as an ingredient I should look for as I’d mainly seen it promoted to those with acneic or oilier skins. Being a dry occasionally dehydrated skin type myself it had never appealed , yet the more I learned about it and saw how it was featured in some of my favourite retinol’s I thought why not. I’m glad that I did as this has been another important part of my brightening arsenal with regular use my skin is looking more even and its all adding to the glow I crave.

FACTS – Again 3 months of use no change in colour or scent.

Contains 10% Niacinamide  and some favourite brightening ingredients such as Licorice , Bearberry and my favourite soother again with Calendula .

Cruelty Free

Free of Silicones/SLS/Parabens

Fragrance and Essential Oil Free.

Vegan Friendly.

REPURCHASE – A very easy yes , Coming out at just under $15 aud a month is fantastic.

INGREDIENTS – Backhousia Citriodora (Lemon Myrtle) Flower Water*, Aqua, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Panthanol (Vitamin B5), Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Acetyl Glucosamine (N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine), Glycyrrhiza Glabra, Polyglyceryl-4 Laurate, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Oil**, Glycerin*, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate (Licorice) Extract, Tetrahydrocurcuminoids, Arctostayphlos Uva Ursi (Bearberry) Leaf Extract, Morus Alba Root (White Mulberry) Extract, Salix Alba (White Willow Bark) Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea EGCG) Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Zinc PCA, Quercetin, Fucus Vesiculosus (Fucoidan), Lysolecithin (And) Sclerotium Gum**, Xanthan Gum**, Pullulan**, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sorbitan Caprylate**, 1,3-Propanediol**,  Benzoic Acid**, Sodium Phytate,  Lactic Acid.

  1. I do agree with all the ideas you have presented in your post. They’re very convincing and will certainly work. Still, the posts are very short for newbies. Could you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.
