Hi Everyone ,
Just thought I’d share my thoughts about the products I’ve tried from Glow Recipe.
We’ve all seen this brand everywhere on social media for the past year gracing the pages of every influencers account, due to the majority of marketing the brand has done I honestly didn’t think it had anything to offer my over 40 face.
Then I entered a giveaway hosted by The Beauty Bloss on Instagram and I won the moisturiser and opportunity to review and be featured on Blanche’s page.
As I received this stroke of good luck I decided to purchase the travel sizes of both masks, and now for my thoughts.

PRODUCT – Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturiser.

REPURCHASE – As I won this in a giveaway it’s more would I purchase ? and its a big yes ! I finished it 2 weeks ago and I’m already missing it.

PRODUCT – Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask
PRICE – $69 aud for 80ml
SKIN TYPE – Any
RECOMMENDED USE – For use as a sleeping mask: Use the spatula to scoop 1 50 cent-sized amount onto skin as the final step of the evening routine. Gently pat into the skin for optimal absorption. Wash thoroughly in the morning. Use daily if desired.
For use as a wash off mask: Use the spatula to scoop out cream and gently spread a thick layer across a cleansed face from forehead to chin (avoiding direct contact with eye and lip areas). Rinse with lukewarm water after 10 minutes. Use two to three times a week. For sensitive skin types start by using 2-3 times a week and use more frequently if your skin loves the formula.
A.M OR P.M- I’ve used both.
HOW IT SMELLS – Really soft green fresh smell .
HOW IT FEELS – Quite thick and comforting going on yet absorbs well.
HOW MUCH DO I USE – A big dollop.
HOW OFTEN DO I USE – Once or twice a week.
HOW DO I USE – I actually prefer to layer it over a nourishing oil if using as a sleep mask to really amp up the nourishing feel as I’ve not found it gives enough hydration or moisture alone through winter.
I do however love it as a moisturiser after whatever serums I’m using on any particular night.
MY THOUGHTS – As i’m a true dry skin type I found this lacking as a one and done mask. This may change as we are now heading into summer and I look forward to testing again then.
I did however find it to be a beautiful finishing step to my evening routines as it really comforted my skin and I woke up with a nice plump, soft face in the mornings.
Also really want to try the retinol version of this !!
REPURCHASE – I think the price point is really good and once I figured out how to make it work for me , I enjoyed it.
Having said that I don’t feel its a must have for me.
INGREDIENTS – Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Fruit Extract, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Fruit, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Water, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Water, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Water, Aniba Rosodora (Rosewood) Wood Extract, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Alcohol, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Butter, Honey, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Oil, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Stearic Acid, Gluconolactone, Kaolin, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Spirulina Platensis Extract

So the Watermelon range has definitely been the standout from Glow Recipe for me , especially the moisturiser as a hydrating serum.
Since I finished the moisturiser I’ve really noticed the difference , it truly made my skin glow and feel extra juicy.
Sometimes when we come across things on social media that are pretty colours and prettily packaged we can overlook them as being all hype and lacking substance , sadly this can apply to how we view not only brands but also people.
It’s something I’ve been guilty of and in this case i’m glad that yet again I was proven wrong. As I can’t help but think that perhaps in those judgemental moments that it’s I who lack the substance to look beyond my own beliefs.
Anyway.
Have a wonderful day everyone and thank you for reading.
